33rd PALERMO LADIES OPEN – WOMEN’S INTERNATIONAL TENNIS
This year again Veneta Cucine will be participating as sponsor in the 33rd Palermo Ladies Open, a fantastic adventure that involves great international tennis players.
The curtain is about to officially rise on the 33rd Palermo Ladies Open, a women’s tennis tournament on the WTA circuit, scheduled from 16 to 24 July.
The main draw at the 33rd WTA Palermo Ladies Open is coloured blue. The seeding of the tournament scheduled from 16 to 24 July on the red clay courts at the Country Time Club in Palermo is led by the French Open semi-finalist and winner of this year’s WTA 250 in Rabat, Martina Trevisan.
The 33rd Palermo Ladies Open, with a prize pool of 275 thousand dollars, will have a main draw of 32 players, while there will be 16 couples participating in the doubles tournament and 24 players admitted to the qualifiers (20 by ranking plus 4 WCs). The qualifying matches will be played on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 July, with the main draw matches beginning on Monday 18 and the final scheduled for Sunday 24 July. The afternoon match sessions will start at 4:00 pm and the evening session at 8:00 pm.
The main draw matches will be televised again this year by Rai and SuperTennis, while international TV rights are owned by WTA Media. Broadcasting will this year once again be by Crionet, who will produce all the singles and doubles matches.
