MAINTENANCE
Kitchens featuring materials with a matte finish are becoming increasingly popular: by absorbing the light, matte finishes in fact give furniture an elegant and understated look.
It is no coincidence that you find matte lacquers in modern and minimalist as well as in vintage or industrial style kitchens.
Matte finishes are more resistant, compared to high gloss ones, and help to mask stains, fingerprints and scratches on the surface better.
In addition to the ever-popular matte white kitchen and matte black kitchen, they are also available in a wide range of other colours and are suited to more traditional as well as more innovative and striking combinations.
1. If you choose a matte kitchen, beware of sunlight
The doors of a matt lacquered kitchen are subject to the colour changing over time. To minimise this effect as much as possible, protect your kitchen from exposure to direct sunlight.
Excess moisture can cause the profiles of cabinets, tables, doors, counters etc. to swell slightly. Do not use steam cleaners in the kitchen, and especially on cabinets, and pay attention to steam emitted from the dishwasher. Immediately wipe off any water droplets.
Here are some tips on how to clean a matte kitchen:
Do not use acetone, trichloroethylene, ammonia or solvents, as well as alcohol or stain removers, abrasive creams or sponges, wax-based products, silicones, etc., to avoid marks and discoloration.
