MAINTENANCE
Lacquer kitchens are very popular because this material is trendy, bright and characterful, and is available in a wide range of colours.
Lacquering can have a high gloss, matte or metallic finish, which makes it suitable for a wide range of styles; it can easily be found in modern kitchens and in minimalist style and vintage kitchens.
Lacquering covers the entire panel leaving no visible edges, which results in a high degree of aesthetic continuity.
1. Maintaining a lacquer kitchen: avoid sunlight
Lacquer kitchens are more delicate than durable laminate and their colour changes slightly over time.
To avoid this problem, protect your kitchen as much as you can from exposure to direct sunlight.
To counteract changes in the material coming into contact with steam, remember to open the dishwasher only when it has completely cooled down: this will prevent cracking at the edges and swelling of the substrates.
It is better to wipe residual water drops from the work surface in good time.
Whether it is a matte lacquered kitchen or a high gloss lacquered kitchen, a damp microfibre cloth and a neutral detergent is sufficient for regular cleaning: please remember then to dry the surface carefully in order to avoid liquids accumulating.
Avoid all abrasive products and those based on alcohol, trichlorethylene, ammonia and solvents. So as not to impair the gloss and to avoid marking, never use wax and silicone-based products.
