MAINTENANCE
In 2019 Veneta Cucine launched Caranto Quartz, the new brand of hi-tech kitchen worktops made of quartz.
Quartz worktops consist of quartz, a minimum part (< 10%) of resin and are coloured with natural oxides derived from iron. This composition guarantees the worktop excellent resistance to abrasion, heat and the absorption of liquids, including acids.
Due to their high degree of compaction, quartz kitchen worktops inhibit the proliferation of bacteria and ensure excellent hygiene of your kitchen units.
1. Choose the right products for cleaning a quartz worktop
Here are some tips on how to clean a quartz worktop:
Avoid placing hot pots and pans on the kitchen worktop (you can use special pan stands).
Direct contact with overheated objects or flames may cause indelible stains due to heating of the resin or cracks caused by high thermal shock.
This, generally speaking, also applies to kitchen worktops made from other materials, such as ceramic kitchen worktops, fenix kitchen worktops, laminate kitchen worktops and marble kitchen worktops.
A quartz kitchen worktop is very durable but excessive stress must be avoided.
Take care to prevent impacts caused by crockery or other accessories, especially at the more exposed points, such as corners and edges. Do not cut on the surface without using a chopping board for that purpose, do not use as an ironing board and do not sit or climb onto a quartz worktop.
