What does the repair/replacement remedy consist of?

To eliminate the non-conformity, in the first instance, the consumer can ask for the "repair" or "replacement" of the defective item. The repair or replacement is free of charge. The "essential" expenses to remedy the non-conformity, including shipping, labour and materials, are borne by the seller. However, the consumer's request will meet a limit in the event that the requested remedy is objectively impossible or involves excessive costs for the seller. The seller can refuse the solution requested by the consumer because it is impossible or excessively expensive, in this case the consumer can ask for a price reduction or termination of the contract.
